Released at E3 2016, we worked with Blur Studio on the official new trailer for Halo Wars 2 - an upcoming real-time strategy (RTS) video game developed by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly - check out the trailer here.
Our head mounted facial mo-cap system (DI4D HMC) was used to capture some of the facial performance of one of the main characters, ‘Captain Cutter.’
“The end result is much better immersion in the story and far more believable ‘people’ because they are people - recordings of the performance rather than a simulation or cartoon of it.”
343 Industries explain in their latest weekly blog post on why they used facial performance capture for the trailer.
